Bring it On

Summer is my favourite season. And although it's not technically here yet, my increased hormones are telling me that it's 30 degrees out, so for me, summer is here.

One of the things I absolutely love about summer is the meals. Colin goes fishing more, and catches me lots of fish! He went on Mothers Day weekend with his parents and caught his limit by 9am one day! So he came home with 12 beautiful rainbow trout. I had hoped there would be a blog entry about his trip, but there's not!

Anyways, last night we enjoyed one of these rainbow trout, along with BBQ'd veggie skewers (the veggies are from Al's Farm Market of course) and some pesto pasta! MMMmmm MMmmm!!

The food isn't the only good thing about the meals though. Location location! There's no better place to eat than sitting on the porch in the quiet backyard, watching birds make nests, and admiring the new veggie garden!

Later that night it was still quite warm, so we lit a citronella candle and relaxed on the porch. It was almost like a mini vacation in our own backyard.

Ahhhh, summer!

Sweet. That looks yummy.

We now have the ability to sit out on the deck and eat a barbequed meal as well! I should post a blog entry to explain.

Yumm! Those veggies look great. We have been using our BBQ nonstop since last week. I'm going to have to get some skewers and add some veggies to the mix!
